We can put down our defenses.
We can admit we have sinned.
We can acknowledge we need help.
We can accept we have no other hope.
We can agree we need a Savior.
No matter what it is that we have said,
No matter what it is that we have done,
We can repent.
Followers of Jesus repent.
It’s not always easy to admit.
It’s not always easy to confess.
It’s not always easy to repent.
We would rather pretend.
We would rather ignore.
We would rather justify.
Yet, repentance always reveals our dependence on Jesus.
We can experience incredible relief.
We can experience powerful peace.
We can experience significant rest.
We can know that the grace, mercy and love of Jesus are enough.
No matter how we may feel today.
We can repent.
No matter our shame.
We can repent.
No matter how long it’s been.
We can repent.
Jesus is always faithful to forgive.
Jesus is always faithful to cleanse.
Jesus is always faithful to extend grace.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
